Overview

Medford Before & After School offers safe, strengths-based programs where students grow socially, emotionally, and physically through play-based learning and recreation. We are part of the Medford Public Schools.

Medford Before & After School offers Before and After School care at all four MPS elementary schools. MPS also works with EEC-licensed community partners to offer further After School programming options for families and students.

Enrollment for this current school year is closed. 

2026-27

After School

The After School lottery results were shared on Tuesday, May 19. Not only were we able to able capacity at all schools, we were also able to responsibly exceed our enrollment projections at all schools to best meet the demand from our families.  

Families who received a spot in the lottery have until June 1, 2026 to complete the Enrollment Contract. The enrollment contract was delivered via email. Please email before-afterschool@medford.k12.ma.us with questions. 

New enrollment (families who did not fill out the Lottery Request or Re-Registration Form) in our After School program will be frozen until at least June 2, 2026 to allow families who received a spot in the lottery to register for next school year. This will allow us to review enrollment numbers and see program availability across our four schools while balancing the waitlist.

Before School

If you are looking to register for Before School next year, please contact before-afterschool@medford.k12.ma.us

If you are a family looking to re-register for Before School next year, you will receive communication directly from our MPS Central Office this spring, 

REgistration Procedures

Registration:

  • Enrollment in our 2026/27 MPS After School program was based on a lottery, drawn on Tuesday, May 19

  • Families received an email on May 20 with information on the Enrollment Contract and signing up for FACTS. 

Waitlist & New Enrollment

  • For the 2026/27 School year, the waitlist will be public via student LASID numbers. It will be shared the week of May 26. 

  • New enrollment and program inquiry will be frozen until at least June 2, 2026

  • If you are moving to Medford, you must register for school before being enrolling in either MPS Before or MPS After School.
