Superintendent's Weekly Memo - January 3, 2025

Superintendent's Weekly Memo - January 3, 2025
Dr. Marice Edouard-Vincent, Superintendent

Dear Mustang Families,

Happy New Year! I hope you were able to spend the holiday season surrounded by family and friends. The time away allowed many of us to recharge our batteries. Now that we are back and have started 2025 in windy and wintery conditions, we can’t wait to Spread Kindness Like Snowflakes at the Brooks and throughout our entire school community.

While they may not have been in the classroom over the holiday break, some of our Mustang student-athletes spent the time off excelling in their respective sports! Our Boys and Girls Basketball teams competed in close games on the hardwood, while senior Nathan Tremlett earned personal recognition for his stellar performance at the Cape Ann Savings Bank Hockey Tournament. Great job Mustangs!

Some chilly weather is expected to greet us next week as we begin our first full week of the new year. It is district-wide policy for students to enjoy outdoor recess as long as the real feel temperature is above 25 degrees Fahrenheit. Additionally, we know students spend time outside as they go to and from school regardless of the weather. As a result, please encourage your children to bundle up, including wearing coats, hats, gloves and pants, to stay warm this winter season.

Today’s Memo includes:
