CCSR Students Highlight the Importance of Reading, Books, and the School Library

Thank you to Jackson Olander, Emily Ivy, Jack Falco, MHS seniors, for organizing a book drive for the McGlynn Library.  They were able to collect over 200 books which were donated to the library at the end of April.

This work was a part of a service learning project in conjunction with their Successful Citizenship course and the CCSR. The project highlighted the importance of reading and the school library.  They spoke with faculty, directors, students, and librarians to gather information.  They determined that one effective way to support school libraries and student reading would be to do a book drive.  These books could then be used to expand the library collection offering students a wider selection of books based on interest and reading levels.

The McGlynn Elementary School thanks Jackson, Emily, and Jack for their work on this project!
