Andrews and McGlynn School November Construction Update

Andrews and McGlynn School November Construction Update

Please see the letter below from Consigli Construction about the ongoing HVAC and roof work being done at the Andrews and McGlynn Schools.

November 10, 2025
Residents & Parents,

Consigli Construction would like to provide a project update for both the Andrews & McGlynn School upgrade projects:

McGlynn School: Workers have been working to decommission the existing cooling system now that the building has switched into heating mode for the fall & winter months. This includes disconnecting existing units, reclaiming of cooling refrigerant, and preparing the existing equipment to be removed from the rooftop.

Upcoming work at the McGlynn School includes removal of the existing rooftop equipment before the end of the month. The expected date (weather dependent) is anticipated for 11/22/25. Work for this month also includes mobilization of rooftop framing and structural steel work to support the installation of new units. These new units are expected to be flown up to the rooftop in December.

Andrews School: The modifications to the existing systems, as noted in the previous look ahead flyer, have been completed during the buildings off hours without any issues. The new structural steel work, as well as the framing and roofing scope required to tie the new unit bases into the roof top, have been completed. Interior of the building, electrical rooms and closets have been being worked inside to hang new electrical panels and begin electrical rough in scopes of work. Upcoming work at Andrew’s School includes rigging the new mechanical rooftop units, which is expected to take place (weather dependent) this Saturday, 11/15/25.

In both schools, Consigli has implemented our plan to install sound attenuating / sound reducing blankets at interior spaces to try and mitigate our noise levels. To date, we have not incurred any issues or impacts to the ongoing learning happening during the school day.

The project team appreciates the coordination and cooperation of the neighborhood. Thank you again for your continued support.
