The McGlynn Elementary School is named after the former Mayor John J. McGlynn and shares a campus with the McGlynn Middle School. It is located on the eastern bank of the Mystic River.

The McGlynn Elementary School is an environment that supports the growth and development as well as success of all students.  There is a strong partnership between families and staff. Teachers have high expectations, work collaboratively and focus on the whole child.

Social Emotional development and learning is a high priority at the McGlynn.  As a school who prides themselves in respect and responsibility for one another, it is our hope that our students become exceptional citizens in their communities.
